Make Beauty Timeless

Princeton is a great spot to be, in part because this thriving town is also surrounded by preserved open land, by streams we fight to keep clean, and by trails that our families can explore. During the summer months, escaping the heat to other states is often the trend, with the Adirondacks a popular destination for many.

Well, it would appear that this is the week to show your support of open land, beautiful views and keeping the wonders of nature in tact. There are two events to attend if this Scoop speaks to your soul. On Wednesday evening The Adirondack Council will be at the Pretty Brook Club for a discussion of issues currently facing the Adirondack Park and how to help. Adirondack hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served (now that’s enticing). And on Friday night D&R Greenway Land Trust invites you to Raise the Rafters at the 3^rd annual Down-to-Earth Ball, with music by the Riverside Bluegrass Band, and local fare prepared by the Catering Company; At historic Tusculum no less.

Fields, views, streams, birds, native plants -- their beauty remains with us due to the efforts of groups such as these. If you cannot join in, send your support. It will fuel the effort for timeless beauty that can be enjoyed by generations to follow. I’ll be there. In fact, I’ll be at both and will grab you a beer at the bar if you join us.
